Bitcoin will face government oppression in the USA by 2015.

The bitcoin network will face censorship or oppression in or before the year 2015.
This will be the deliberate act of the United States government whether localized to the states or deliberate oppression of the entire network.

Oppression may but is not required to contain bitcoin specific internet censorship due to legislation;
It may include requirements of license or permit to operate, use, or aquire a bitcoin address, or require merchant descrimination at point of sale with regards to whether the bitcoins used are "valid US bitcoins";
It may include the government issued requirement that the user only use a certified client;
It may include unpublished or unannounced IP level filtering of the bitcoin specific ports used for various parts of the protocol;
It may NOT include individual state regulations of the nature that are not adopted by other states.
It may NOT include oppression performed by private corperations, non-government affiliated Universites and schools, or individuals who act on their own regardless of their affiliation with the United States government.
